2002 Dienheim Tafelstein Grauburgunder Spätlese trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Cool, delicately spicy, with apple and melon aromas. Quite juicy fruit with mineral notes in the background, crisp, elegant acidity, not completely dry, quite a lot of alcohol, full-bodied, has bite, but not a lot of depth, still young, good finish. Modern and meticulously made, but neither the origin nor the grape variety are clearly recognisable. Uncertain as to the further development.
