2013 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lieben Aich, Alto Adige, Italy

Firm and deep, almost cool, fine, herbal citrus scent with a little gooseberry and currant, citrus zest, floral nuances and mineral traces. Ripe, juicy, polished fruit, some melting and very fine acidity, dense and persistent on the palate, has power but also elegance and finesse, good depth, fine vegetal notes, a hint of dark berries, nutty hints, fine salty mineral tones, seems relatively cool, only hints of exoticism, very good to long finish with noble juice, finest spice and again minerality. In top form.

Editor note: Firm, tart and rather cool, fine-vegetable bouquet with yellow and green fruity notes, floral hints and quite distinct minerality in the background. Melting and quite powerful in the mouth, calm fruit with vegetal spice, herbal aromas and minerality, slightly floral in the background, yeasty and nutty hints, very fine acidity and some tannic grip, good depth and persistence, still rather undeveloped, multi-layered, becomes noticeably finer with air and still gains traction, very good to long finish. Gains weight over days
