2020 Gondorf Gäns Riesling Kabinett, Mosel, Germany

Cool, somewhat vegetal to dried herbal, nutty and delicately floral pome and stone fruit scents with a hint of dried mushrooms. Juicy, rather slender, sweet fruit with a noticeable acid bite, a hint of black berries as well as some fennel, light tannic grip, good persistence, hints of white currants, minerality partly reminiscent of mussel shells, partly slate-like, very good, animating finish.
