2018 Freinsheim Schwarzes Kreuz St. Laurent trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Somewhat toasty and nutty aroma of ripe black and a little red berries with juniper notes, dried herbs and dried floral nuances. Tart fruit with smoky, toasty and nutty wood notes, some bite, present, a little drying tannin, some power and persistence, slightly bitter, coffee and bitter chocolate, a touch of salt, some alcohol warmth, good to very good, just a little drying-woody finish again.
