Firm and quite deep aroma of ripe mixed berries and a little cherry with slightly smoky aromas, a hint of mushrooms, damp forest floor, smoke as well as floral, herbal and juniper nuances. Quite tight, juicy, ripe fruit with some acid bite and youthful, crumbly tannin, herbal-vegetable, slightly mushroomy and hints of smoky-woody notes, a little dark ethereal spice, some tarragon, salty hints, a touch of citrus zest, slight alcohol warmth, very good finish, again with bite.

Best to drink: Mitte 2023 bis 2027+. What our ratings mean
