2023 Westhofen Morstein Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deeper, firmer and more complex, while being calm within itself, a bitter, dried-herb-like scent of ripe citrus fruits and peaches, a hint of seaweed, finest Havana tobacco, a touch of tobacco ash and enormous minerality. Very concentrated in the mouth, juicy, ripe, with a texture reminiscent of dense, chewable flesh, then with intense herbal-ethereal spice, a lot of oregano, black berry notes and juniper, lively acidity and a lot of grip, sustainable, deep, very mineral, olives and capers in the background, a trace of vine leaves, has striking Mediterranean touches, long, juicy and bitter-spicy finish.
