2022 Nieder-Flörsheim Frauenberg Spätburgunder VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deep and firm, very concentrated, smoky and slightly meaty scent with fine red and black berry aromas, a bit of tobacco, lavender, earthy nuances, hinted blue berries, some forest floor and delicate ethereal spice. Truly noble, cool fruit with refined acidity and almost silky youthful tannins, nutty and smoky hints on the palate, a touch of bacon, herbal nuances and a bit of fresh forest mushrooms, good depth, sustainable and complex, distinct, almost cold minerality, hinted coffee in the background, has elegance and at the same time inner strength, along with a slight maritime breeze, very good to long, juicy, slightly smoky and finely spicy finish. A fine, seemingly effortless, elegant beauty.
