2022 Wachau DAC Ried Steinporz Grüner Veltliner Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm, somewhat dried-vegetable to herbaceous nose with slightly warm yellow-fruity aromas, a hint of olive oil and a touch of tobacco. Ripe, warm fruit with tart vegetal to tobacco and slightly nutty tones, moderate acidity, good substance and persistence, lots of creaminess, a little dark fruit in the background, hints of fennel and aniseed, noticeable alcohol, a hint of cocoa and liquorice, also some nougat, very good, high-alcohol and creamy finish with yellow and dark spice.

Best to drink: 2024-2028+. What our ratings mean
