2023 Chardonnay trocken "Opus-Oskar", Pfalz, Germany

Festive and cooler, slightly yeasty and smoky, precise citrus scent with delicate peach and stone fruit notes, fresh herbs, a hint of butter, restrained, bright, nutty wood accents, sautéed mushrooms, parsley, and very fine vegetable aromas. Ripe, juicy, polished, dense fruit, very fine acidity and a gentle touch of ripe tannins and yeast, persistent on the palate, slightly smoky and nutty, again fine vegetable tones, in the background chalk and salt, a hint of exoticism, certain depth, hinted vanilla, very good, juicy and finely spiced finish with almost a little sweet melt, but also bite. Currently needs a lot of air.
