2022 Chardonnay "Opus-Oskar", Pfalz, Germany

Firm and deep, somewhat smoky, yeasty and vegetal to dried herbal scent of yellow fruits with a hint of artichoke, butter and dried mushrooms as well as nuances reminiscent of sage. Polished, firm, very slightly warm fruit with a certain sweetness, lively acidity, has a grip of ripe tannin, good substance and persistence, a little depth, red berries and citrus zest in the background, hints of barrel wood, clear minerality, very good to long, grippy finish, in which a little sugar resonates again, especially with air.
