2021 Chardonnay-Silvaner trocken "Buntsandstein", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Still a little smoky-reductive, nutty and vegetal to herbal aroma of yellow fruit with a hint of fennel and dark berries. Polished fruit with a delicate melt, lively acidity, has a grip of ripe tannins, good persistence, barrel wood tones in the background, a hint of dried mushrooms, lemon verbena and bacon, chalky minerality, very good finish.
