2019 Bürgstadt Hundsrück Spätburgunder trocken "J", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm and quite deep, youthful, somewhat smoky aroma of black and red berries with a little tomato paste, leathery and peppery nuances, nutty barrel tones and a hint of tobacco and tar. Clear, fine, tart fruit, nutty, slightly smoky and again very slightly reminiscent of tobacco and tar, fine, youthful tannin, some bite, persistent on the palate, quite dense, some depth, has power but no heaviness, a hint of bitter chocolate and pepper, mineral tones, very good, firm finish. May mature.
