2019 Bürgstadt Centgrafenberg Spätburgunder trocken "J", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Somewhat smoky and a touch leathery, quite deep aroma of ripe forest berries with moderate, slightly nutty wood spice and a hint of tar. Clear, tangy, quite polished, youthful fruit, smoky and slightly peppery notes, a hint of dried-vegetable to tobacco on the palate, good persistence and substance, mineral tones, has power and some depth, still undeveloped, very good, firm, tangy and finely spicy finish with ethereal hints.
