2017 Bürgstadt Berg Spätburgunder trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Slightly warm aroma of ripe red and some black berries with nutty aromas, tobacco, woody tones and a hint of tar. Firmly woven, tangy fruit with smoky notes, salt and also pepper, tobacco wood tones on the palate, a touch of tar and black olives, hints of Mediterranean herbs, persistent, has power, a hint of malt, youthful, quite present, yet predominantly crumbly tannin, certain warmth, very good, quite firm, still slightly drying finish.
