2016 Bürgstadt Centgrafenberg Spätburgunder trocken "J", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Relatively cool, firm, very slightly developed, somewhat herbal, almondy, mushroomy and slightly smoky aroma of predominantly black berries with a little plum and cherry. Ripe, tightly knit fruit with a hint of dried mushrooms, mint and juniper, some nutty and smoky wood aromas as well as nuances reminiscent of iodine, ripe, very slightly drying tannin, good persistence, salty and peppery tones in the background, very good, if somewhat drying-woody finish.
