2020 Mittelheim St.Nikolaus Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

A hint of muted, relatively cool citrus-peach nose with citrus zest, herbal to Mediterranean notes, dark berries, hints of lavender, a hint of yeast and minerality. Very slightly sweet, again a little muted fruit, reminiscent of plums, herbal-herbal aromas, nutty and yellow-spicy traces as well as hints of smoke, quite lively acidity in the background, noticeable, fine sandy tannin, good substance and persistence, salty and earthy minerality, has bite, black berry nuances and yellow spice in the background, a hint of candy, floral traces, very good, again delicately sweet finish with grip, black berries and coriander-like herbal notes.
