2019 Ingelheim Pares Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Quite firm, complex and deep, still somewhat reductive aroma of small mixed berries and cherries with clearly tobacco aromas, some dry herbs, pepper and smoke. Tight, tart, undeveloped fruit, smoky and tobacco notes, again also herbs and peppery spice, present, ripe, quite fine tannin, some acidity bite, persistent on the palate, chalky mineral tones, has something light on its feet, yet depth and complexity, very good, firm, tart and spicy finish with draw. Still needs to mature.
