2022 Spätburgunder trocken "J.J. Adeneuer N°1", Ahr, Germany

Clear and polished, rather dark berry and cherry nose with dried plant aromas and a hint of charcoal. Tart, again rather dark, ripe fruit, quite present, crumbly-sandy tannins, slightly chocolaty and reminiscent of nougat on the palate, smoky tones and a hint of ash, certain acid bite, has melting and some softness, but also freshness, which becomes even more pronounced with air, salt in the background, very good finish with clear, fine juice.

Best to drink: 2025-2032+. What our ratings mean
