2015 Müllheim Sonnhalde Spätburgunder Spätlese trocken Alte Reben, Baden, Germany

Slightly muted nose, light oak, preserved mixed berries and some cherries, earthy and dried vegetal notes. Prominent preserved, fairly dark fruit on the palate, smoky oak and some bacon, herbaceous aromas, some sugar candy, hint of mushrooms, appears sweeter than it is,peppery and herbaceous aromas, light floral traces, light acid bite, grippy, sandy tannins, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, some plummy notes, toasted notes on a good to very good, fairly juicy finish. Experience shows this will mature well.
