2020 Monzernheim Goldberg Spätburgunder trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Tart, slightly dried-vegetable aroma of black and red berries with moderate wood notes and a hint of bacon. Ripe, again tart fruit with present, fine sandy tannin and smoky-roasty wood spice, cocoa notes on the palate, some power and warmth, salt in the background, dried-vegetable and mushroomy nuances, very slight bitterness, good to very good, tart finish, a little warm from alcohol.
