2021 Riesling Landwein Rotliegend, Rhine/Rhein, Germany

Tart, somewhat wild, yeasty, nutty and vegetal aroma with yellow fruity notes, hints of smoke and yellow spice. Tart, cool and quite juicy in the mouth, not quite as dominated by yeast as in the nose, vegetal to herbal aromas, quite lively, fine acidity, some grip, good persistence, mineral in the background, very good finish with cool juice and draught. With its natural wine-like character, it certainly doesn't only have friends, but once you get into it, it is quite animating.
