2019 Weststeiermark DAC Ried Rettenberg Sauvignon Blanc Reserve trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Floral and somewhat herbal nose with very bright, restrained yellow and white fruit aromas, a little redcurrant, a hint of smoke as well as nutty and tobacco wood notes. Straightforward, again predominantly very light fruit, planty to herbal nuances, white flowers, a hint of black berries in the background, fine acidity and delicate sandy tannin, which integrates well with air, nutty and delicately smoky wood notes in the background, a little fresh butter, hints of white pepper, good persistence, besides certain cooling ethereal elements also noticeable alcohol, very good, again a little buttery finish.
