2022 Iphofen Julius-Echter-Berg Riesling VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

A persistent and quite deep, fine-vegetable, delicately smoky and herbal scent with noble, bright yellow-fruity aromas, hinting at fennel and mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, melting fruit with yellow spice, initially almost creamy, then increasingly firming texture and very ripe acidity, a bit of grip on the palate, sweet core, quite powerful and with a certain warmth, but with air, more and more cooling elements come through, in the background salt, juicy and ethereal-spicy finish.
