2015 trocken "Zweihänder", Pfalz, Germany

A little developed, somewhat vegetal to dried herbal and delicately floral aroma of partly preserved black berries with nuances reminiscent of pepper and green peppers. Ripe, again partly preserved fruit with nutty, toasty and slightly smoky wood aromas, a hint of pepper and again paprika, fine sandy, slightly drying tannin, good persistence, liquorice and leather in the background, has power, salty tones, noticeable alcohol and some bitterness in the otherwise very good finish.
