2021 Nierstein Hipping Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Deep and complex, still closed and very reductive, delicately smoky and clearly vegetal, tart bouquet with restrained yellow fruity aromas, especially herbs reminiscent of parsley, saffron, egg white, smoke and intense minerality. Fine, very firm, quite dry, rather bright fruit, cool and polished, lively, very fine acidity, delicate grip, fresh herbaceous-vegetal nuances, lasting, intensely salty-mineral, good depth, very elegant style, well-drawn, already animating today despite its youth, has tension, a hint of dark berries in the background, very good, tight, fine-juicy and very mineral, again also cool finish with tension and tones reminiscent of wasabi. Definitely needs to mature.
