2014 Schelingen Kirchberg Spätburgunder trocken RS, Baden, Germany

Fairly tart nose, hint of tobacco, red and a few black berries, floral traces, light herbaceous notes, mushrooms, earthy and mineral traces. Ripe, partly preserved fruit on the palate, smoky and dark toasted oak, earthy and mineral notes, light herbaceous notes, fairly prominent tannins, still slightly astringent, medium body, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, good persistence, spicy traces, hint of slightly bitter sooty notes, good to very good finish.
