2020 Kleinbottwar Oberer Berg Lemberger VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken "Der schwarze Loewe", Württemberg, Germany

Dried-herbaceous, slightly underwood-earthy and delicately smoky scent of more black than red berries with tobacco cask tones, forest floor, and ashy nuances. Quite firm dark fruit with coffee and cocoa-spicy, also slightly smoky-roasted wood, prominent, fine-grained, ripe tannins, good substance and sustainability on the palate, hinted dark ethereal notes, certain power, in the background a bit of salt, very good, quite firm, bitter-juicy finish with partly ethereal spice.
