2020 Forst Kirchenstück Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Quite cool, smoky and bacony, a little tart-vegetable nose with relatively cool, noble citrus and apricot aromas, floral nuances, fine herbs and minerality. Taut, first citrus-accented, juicy fruit, some hard peach, fresh herbaceous-vegetable tones, present acidity and some carbonic acidity, first still slightly sandy tannin, persistent, dense and quite deep, still rather restless, again a little smoke in the background, black berry nuances, quite complex, very good, taut, gripping finish with juice, smoke, minerality and again plenty of acid bite.
