2019 Spätburgunder VDP.Gutswein trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Slightly smoky, nutty and a little coffee-spicy aroma of ripe red and black berries with a hint of paprika, roasted mushrooms and bacon. Tart, juicy, firm, rather cool fruit, smoky, slightly tobacco-like and again reminiscent of coffee grounds flavours, present, fine sandy tannins, dried herbs in the background, but also a certain ethereal-vegetable freshness, persistent, salty tones, very good, tart-juicy and again ethereal-spicy finish with smoky notes and a hint of dark chocolate.
