2019 Schweigen Sonnenberg Pinot Noir VDP.Grosses Gewächs trocken "KB", Pfalz, Germany

Firm and quite deep, polished aroma of red and black berries with peppery, smoky and herbal aromas, hints of meat, tar, bacon and nuts. Taut, tart, rather dark, distinctly fresh, precise fruit, present, yet fine tannin and noticeable acidity, smoky notes, some roasting, Mediterranean herbs, pepper and juniper in the background, lots of salt, distinctly tart citrus zest, with air again clearly gains in juice, depth, freshness and precision, very good to long, firm, tart-juicy finish with bite.
