2017 Schweigen Sonnenberg Pinot Noir trocken "Sankt Paul", Pfalz, Germany

Taut, fresh red and somewhat black berry nose with cherry notes, herbs, floral hints as well as a little juniper, sloe, green pepper and pepper. Tight, tart, ripe, yet polished and almost cool fruit, still a little bitter-smoky wood, noticeable acidity, peppery and herbal aromas, lots of salt in the background, minty tones, still completely undeveloped, very good, tight, ethereal-spicy and smoky finish with lively juice and again plenty of mint.
