2016 Schweigen Sonnenberg Pinot Noir trocken "Steinwingert", Pfalz, Germany

Tart, quite complex, almost fragrant, also slightly smoky and nutty aroma of predominantly red berries with dried floral to tobacco nuances. Firm, tangy fruit, slightly smoky, nutty and hints of bacon, dried vegetal nuances, herbs and spicy traces, crumbly tannin, still a touch sandy, good substance and persistence, certain depth, becomes steadily finer with air, toasty wood flavours, very good, quite firm, somewhat smoky finish with mineral and tart spicy tones
