2004 Brut Blanc de Noir, Pfalz, Germany

Rather calm, nutty, hints of tobacco and seaweed with restrained stone fruit aromas, a little surimi, floral traces and a hint of black berries. Ripe, melting, relatively sweet fruit, nutty aromas, some tobacco, again hints of crabmeat and yeasty traces, some persistence and warmth on the palate, very restrained, fine perlage, dark fruits in the background, smoky nuances, some salt, good substance, good to very good, only also slightly sweet-dissolving finish.
