2013 Oberrotweil Eichberg Spätburgunder trocken "BARON PHILIPP", Baden, Germany

Warm nose, prominent spicy oak, preserved mixed berries and plums, some dates, sultanas, leather, malt, roasted notes and dark ethereal spice. Ripe, warm, again partly preserved and somewhat plummy fruit, lots of chocolate, roasted and smoky oak, somewhat sandy, partly crumbly, partly drying tannins, relatively high strength and noticeable alcohol, raisiny notes again, a hint of malt, hint of laurel, very good, albeit again warm, somewhat marmalade and milk chocolate finish.
