1999 Weißburgunder Spätlese trocken, Pfalz, Germany

On the nose, light mineral notes, spicy oak and high alcohol, with aromas of apples and melons. Soft, quite juicy fruit with well integrated oak aromas, spicy, good acidity, tremendous power and very noticeable alcohol on the palate, but lacks a little depth and persistence on the palate, reasonable balance, finish dominated by glycerine.
