2019 Flonheim Kisselberg Pinot Noir trocken Lagenwein, Rheinhessen, Germany

Very slightly muted, a touch earthy and tobacco nose of black and red berries with dried herbal to tobacco notes and restrained barrel tones. Ripe, tart and juicy fruit with smoky, herbal and earthy notes, present, slightly drying tannins, some acidity, a hint of bitter chocolate and coffee grounds, some alcohol warmth, a little chalk and salt in the background, good to very good, again a hint of drying finish with peppery notes.
