2021 Monzingen Auf der Ley Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Nahe, Germany

Cool, restrained but distinctly deep, firm, bright citrus nose with peach notes, some yeast, fresh vegetal aromas reminiscent of coriander, floral traces, pepper and distinct, again bright minerality. Very tightly knit, again bright fruit with clearly yeasty and fresh planty aromas, present acidity and plenty of grip from ripe tannin, intense, salty-chalky minerality dominating the wine, persistent, still completely undeveloped and hardly approachable, good depth, smoky nuances, herbs and pink pepper, tremendous tension, long, tight, extremely mineral, almost cold-looking finish with smoke, plenty of bite and grip.
