2019 Monzingen Halenberg Riesling VDP.Grosse Lage "-R-", Nahe, Germany

A trace of developed, a little dried-vegetable to herbaceous and tobacco aroma of partly candied and dried citrus fruits, citrus peel and peaches with floral nuances, wasabi, a trace of barrel wood and hints of dark spice. Ripe, juicy, warm, sweetish fruit, nutty, somewhat buttery and yellow-spicy tones, fine acidity and mellow tannin, sauteed mushrooms on the palate, plus a little sautéed onions, a hint of pepper and lots of salt, moderate candy tones in the background, also dark fruits, smoky traces and tobacco, has power and volume but also firm structure, very good to long, firm, sweetly juicy, finely spicy and very mineral finish with draught.
