2015 Iphofen Julius-Echter-Berg Silvaner Extra Brut Réserve, Franconia/Franken, Germany

A festering and quite dense, yeasty, nutty and distinctly fine-vegetable aroma with yellow fruity notes as well as a bit of smoke and herbs. Ripe, somewhat developed, warm, melting fruit, nutty, buttery and yeasty flavors, somewhat herbal, smoky and tobacco-like on the palate, rather calm mousse, good sustainability, quite voluminous style, in the background forest mushrooms, also floral nuances, good to very good, again warm, slightly broadening finish.
