The winery is located in the municipality of Mitterstockstall (Kirchberg am Wagram) in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of
Wagram. The traditional family business has been growing grapes here since 1603. A
wine tavern and a vinotheque are attached. The winery is run by Bernhard Ecker and his family. The vineyards cover 14 hectares in the Halterberg, Hundsberg, Mordtal, Schlossberg, Steinberg, Wagram and Waasen vineyards. They are 70% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Roter Veltliner and Frühroter Veltliner, and 30% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent and Pinot Noir. Natural viticulture is practised, for example with the promotion of
beneficial insects. Quality criteria in the vineyard that reduce yields include appropriate foliage work,
thinning out and selective manual harvesting in several passes. The vinification is done gently with cooled and slow fermentation in steel tanks and wood. The speciality is Grüner Veltliner in several varieties. Other premium wines are "Weißburgunder Premium" and the red wine cuvée "Donatus" (St. Laurent, Blauburgunder). Bottle-fermented sparkling wine is also produced. The winery is a member of the
Wagramer Selektion winegrowers' association, whose chairman has been Bernhard Ecker since 2006
