2017 Oppenheim Sackträger Riesling trocken Alte Reben, Rheinhessen, Germany

Light floral and herbaceous notes on the nose, touch of yellow spice, citrus and stone fruit, hint of bacon, mineral notes. Ripe, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, hint of bacon, herbaceous notes and nutty traces, lively acidity, light tannic grip, still slightly restless, good substance and persistence, dark mineral notes in the background, hint of sugar candy, still has noticeable carbon dioxide, some depth, fairly prominent mineral notes on a very good, grippy finish. Still needs some time to mature.
