2015 trocken "HÉRITAGE - Stephanie de Longueville", Württemberg, Germany

Somewhat developed, warm nose, ripe, partly preserved red and black berries, hint of leather and tobacco, vegetal nuances, hint of smoke, roasted and floral notes. Slightly ripe, tart fruit with dried-vegetable to herbaceous and tobacco flavours, smoky wood, a little leather and ash, a certain acid bite, present, ripe, very slightly drying tannins, good persistence, noticeable alcohol, some salt in the background, good to very good, albeit somewhat drying and bitter-woody finish. Seems to develop relatively quickly and evidently sheds its juiciness earlier than the woody bitterness.

Editor note: Rather tart, slightly toasty and tobacco aroma of ripe black berries with smoky and hints of meaty notes. Juicy, relatively tightly knit, dark fruit with toasty and somewhat bitter-chocolatey wood notes, slightly smoky and hints of bacon on the palate, ethereal nuances, ripe, fine sandy, crumbly tannins, lots of power, but also cooling elements, some salt, Citrus nuances, with air the initial freshness loses a bit, also because the wood and the alcohol become more dominant, very good, warm finish, at first with a lot of juice, which is then more and more displaced by sweetish-bitter wood flavours. Not quite a safe prognosis
