2015 Martinsthal Schlenzenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Fairly firm nose, spicy oak and a hint of tobacco, partly preserved red and black berries, nutty and some dried herbaceous notes, earthy and mineral notes. Clear, ripe, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, tart nutty, spicy oak and some cocoa, integrated tannins, still slightly astringent, persistent, earthy and mineral traces in the background, rubbery traces, light jammy notes, medium body, compact structure, light sooty and toasted notes on a very good finish with preserved juicy fruit.
