2021 Bönnigheim Sonnenberg Spätburgunder VDP.Erste Lage trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Smoky, earthy, and woody nose with notes of black and red berries, a bit of wax, tobacco, meaty tones, delicate floral nuances, root vegetables, and ash. Firm, tart, cool fruit with present tannins and some acidity, light carbonation, smoky notes, a hint of coffee and cocoa, salt in the background, chalky hints, suggested pepper and spring onions, very good, slightly sandy finish.
