2016 Bönnigheim Sonnenberg Lemberger VDP.Erste Lage trocken ****, Württemberg, Germany

Clear, slightly nutty and a hint of tobacco scent of ripe red and black berries with cherry notes, floral nuances, moderate, slightly smoky wood spice and hinted blood orange. Rather firm, ripe, very juicy fruit, for Lemberger first amazingly red-berry, then darker, very slightly sweet, somewhat roasted wood spice, fine acid bite and ripe tannin, persistent and quite strong on the palate, still young, some depth, salty mineral tones, spicy and tobacco aromas, very good finish
