2015 Bönnigheim Sonnenberg Lemberger trocken VDP.Erste Lage ****, Württemberg, Germany

Tart nose, light earthy and nutty notes, black berries and a few cherries, dried herbs, hint of mushrooms and tobacco. Ripe, partly preserved juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, spicy and peppery notes, hint of bacon with sooty traces, good substance and persistence, hint of licorice, dried herbs in the background, light earthy and salty notes, very good, slightly jammy finish.
