2014 Bönnigheim Lemberger trocken Gipskeuper ***, Württemberg, Germany

Firm, tart nose, light oak, hint of tobacco, predominantly black berries and sour cherries, dried vegetal, earthy and mineral aromas. Clear, very polished, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, light smoky notes, hint of tobacco, light acid bite, very fine youthful tannins, good persistence, noticeable salty traces in the background, hint of dark chocolate, still largely undeveloped, some depth, more dcelicate smoky traces on a very good polished, tart, juicy finish. Give it some time to mature.
