2009 Bönnigheim Sonnenberg Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Württemberg, Germany

Fairly mature nose, light spicy oak and smoked bacon, restrained berry fruit, earthy notes, hint of root vegetables. Ripe, fairly juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, very fine, very slgihtly sandy tannins, some bite, medium body, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, but also has cool elements,, some nutty oak, salty traces, hint of tobacco, not particularly deep,, very good finish.
