2014 Pünderich Marienburg Riesling trocken Grosses Gewächs, Fahrlay, Mosel, Germany

Dried, mushroomy and slightly nutty aroma with stone fruit and citrus flavours, some yellow spice, a hint of tobacco and vegetal notes. Ripe, juicy, dense fruit, nutty, slightly yellow-spicy and hinted smoky tones, grip and very fine acidity, slightly sweetish melting, persistent on the palate, hints of candy, mushrooms and a hint of wax, good depth, intense minerality, still has energy, very good, juicy, slightly vegetal and somewhat floral and yellow-spicy finish. Noticeably darker in colour than the Falkenlay tasted at the same time, but still much stronger. Nevertheless, contrary to our earlier forecast, it is better to drink it now.
