2020 Landwein "Haus Gupi - Grès Rose", Baden, Germany

Clear, herbal, somewhat yeasty, hinted floral and delicately almondy scent of ripe red berries with a hint of smoke. Juicy, lean and yet expressive, lively fruit, nutty, delicately smoky, floral and yeasty tones, a little herb and pepper in the background, persistent, with air increasingly chalk and salt, certain depth, ethereal spiciness, amazingly complex, very good to long, animatingly juicy and finely spicy finish. We accidentally left it in the fridge for 5 days after the first tasting. This did not harm it: it was even more convincing on the sixth day than on the first.
